Fr. Dominic Holtz, a friar of the Province of St. Albert the Great and Assistant Professor of Philosophy at the Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas in Rome (the Angelicum) , contributed a chapter on Sacraments in the recently published Oxford Handbook of Thomas Aquinas (2012). The volume is likely to become a standard reference work for those who seek to acquire a broad understanding of Thomas’ thought from some of his best contemporary interpreters.
The work, edited by Fr. Brian Davies, O.P., an English Dominican and professor of philosophy at Fordham University, and Eleonore Stump, Ph. D., a lay Dominican and professor of philosophy at Saint Louis University, is a collection of essays written by notable Thomists on nearly every element of his thought, with a particular focus on its philosophical aspects. In addition to the Dominican identity of its two editors, several other Dominicans contributed to the volume.
