3-Day Lenten Mission, St. Monica Parish, Creve Coeur, MO
April 3, 2017 @ 7:00 pm - April 5, 2017 @ 7:00 pm
The Ministries of the Dominican Shrine of St. Jude is pleased announce that we have been invited to give a Three-Day Lenten Mission at St. Monica Parish in Creve Coeur, MO from April 3-5, 2017.
The mission’s theme is “True Christian Hope at Easter.”
Fr. Mike Ford, O.P., the director of the Shrine will explore why the season of Lent is such an important part of our Catholic heritage. He will also help guide people to a better understanding of what True Christian Hope (the Hope inspired by St. Jude devotions) really is, and how the fact of the Christ’s Resurrection at Easter can help us not only survive, but thrive in today’s world no matter how difficult or desperate things may seem.
On Monday, 4/3, and Tuesday, 4/4, Fr. Mike will present mission style prayer services beginning at 7PM each evening. The mission will conclude with a special Mass and St. Jude Oil Blessings on Wednesday 4/5, also at 7PM.
Each evening will provide participants a rare opportunity to venerate the Arm Relic of St. Jude Thaddeus. The Arm Relic, which is normally reserved at the Shrine at St. Pius V Church in Chicago. IL, is reported to be the largest relic of one of the 12 Apostles outside of Rome.
Following the Mass and oil blessings on Wednesday evening, St. Jude Oil will be available.
Please contact the Shrine at 312-226-0020 or St. Monica’s directly for more information (see below).
